I truly respect your opinion but I believe that this generation of teenagers are blinded by what the music industry considers “talent” and truly do not know what real music is. I understand that you feel these boys have “talent”, but that is most likely because you probably don’t listen to any other music other than pop. You grew up in a time where the only music you listen to is auto tuned and the lyrics are extremely repetitive and talk about one thing; how much they love/hate a girl/boy. Listen to The Beatles, the meaning of the words, and remember that THEY wrote them. They didn’t just write about girls, they wrote about life and how to survive in such a crucial time in history (Vietnam War). One Direction will be popular for a few years then their paid song writers will run out of ideas and eventually they will split up. Some will become single performers and others will disappear, but The Beatles music will still be sold across the world for God only knows how many years. X factor UK is not a true talent show, it’s a “who can we make most money off of?” TV show, produced by people who want to sell instead of inspire. Once you start to widen your music selection, you are then able to argue, but until then, I still consider you apart of the teenagers who do not know what true music is.

Lol I’m sorry about how you feel but I never said I didn’t like them. I don’t listen to them obviously because I wouldn’t call teenage pop actually music. Though teenagers would, I’m assuming you’re a teenager. Personally if I were any of them and knew The Beatles and their music, I would find that re-taking a picture of the famous “Abbey Road” album cover, would be an insult to The Beatles. Because The Beatles had talent and One Direction is just like any other pop boy group, where their songs are written for them and their voices are all edited by computers. That is not talent, that is profiting off of cute, semi-talented teenagers. It is just a way of the music industry to make money and I find that there are way too many undiscovered, truly talented people, who should be heard and seen across the world instead of One Direction.
